The most important measure of the YMCA
is the impact it has on the lives of the people and communities
it serves. Together, these diverse groups find a place
of welcome and belonging at the YMCA of Western North
Carolina- an organization that builds strong kids, strong
families and strong communities. Through our four branches,
three satellite childcare sites and 200-plus programs
throughout the community, the YMCA positively impacts people
of all ages, races, faiths and economic backgrounds.
Our Mission : To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
"During this past year, the YMCA of Western North Carolina developed a new strategic plan to lead us into the future. These organizational priorities center on four main themes that focus on our vision to be the premier health and human service provider in Western North Carolina , as well as an effective catalyst for community improvement." - Paul Vest, CEO
