Job Location: YMCA Child Care Services, YMCA Youth Services Center
The Youth Development Director will adhere to all policies and directives set for the Child Care Services branch and YMCA leadership. The Director is responsible for all aspects of daily operation and effective management. This includes staff hiring, supervision, and training, budgeting, marketing and enrollment, public relations, conflict resolution, payroll management, management of grants and appropriate reporting. Maintaining positive relationships with staff, parents, children, schools, and related community members is essential. Responsibilities at site include visiting sites and engaging with children, staff, and parents, attending events, coordinating the fulfillment of licensing requirements through evaluating sites, providing direct leadership, coordinating field trips, and substituting at sites when needed. The incumbent will exhibit professionalism and the YMCA’s four core values in all interactions. The Director is responsible for other duties as assigned by the Community Youth Development Director and YMCA Leadership.

The McDowell Health Coalition Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the marketing, administration, and internal communication efforts of the McDowell County Health Coalition. This position reports to the Chairperson of the Coalition and is formally employed and housed by the YMCA of Western North Carolina. The incumbent will be responsible for assisting the leadership of the Coalition through designing surveys and analyzing data for grant proposals, networking within the community, completing operational and administrative tasks, providing reports, and updating the Coalition website. The incumbent will ultimately streamline communication between the board and the various committees and work-groups that operate under the McDowell Health Coalition umbrella. The Coordinator will perform other duties as assigned by the Chairperson and/or McDowell Health Coalition Driver.
