The Youth Development Coordinator – Tennis Camp is responsible for supervising and instructing children ages 5-12 in tennis, from basic to advanced skills. The applicant is responsible for ensuring a safe and fun environment for Y Campers. The incumbent will develop and implement curriculum for two (2) week-long sessions of Tennis Camp, with lessons suitable for a variety of age groups. The candidate will work with the help of the Youth Development Coach – Tennis Camp.

Under the Direction of the Youth Development Director and consistent with the mission of the YMCA, the Youth Development Coach is responsible for delivering the highest level of youth and adult sports-related programming to YMCA members, guests, and program participants. (S)he will help maintain an active sports program within the Hendersonville Family YMCA. Tasks include preparing the gym or field for various sporting activities, serving as a coach or official, helping keep scorebooks, running the scoreboard when needed, and enforcing all Sports departmental policies and procedures.
