Adventure Camp (Glen Arden Elementary School in Arden and YMCA Youth Services Center in Asheville)
Off-site, field trip-based camp for the true outdoor enthusiast. All campers must be able to pass a swim test and be ready to hike, swim, and explore the Blue Ridge Parkway. Open to rising third through ninth graders. Learn more here.
Camp Kiddos (Asheville YMCA, Corpening Memorial YMCA, and Reuter Family YMCA)
Camp Kiddos introduces younger children to the structure of camp through a half day of arts and crafts, science, water safety, and sports. Campers experience new things in a safe and secure setting while having fun just like the big kids! Open to ages 3 through 6 years old (Corpening's Camp Kiddos is open to ages 4 and 5 years old). Counselors-in-Training (Corpening Memorial YMCA, Glen Arden Elementary School in Arden, and YMCA Youth Services Center in Asheville)
Counselors-in-Training (CITs) will learn leadership and basic job skills in a fun camp environment. Field trips, lock-ins, and time with friends are high points of the CIT experience. Open to ages 13 through 16 years old. Learn more here.
Discovery Camps (locations in Buncombe County)
Our three Discovery Camps mean there’s something for everyone. All three camps offer traditional camp activities such as swimming, campouts, and adventure in addition to themed activities. Explorer Camp (Glen Arden Elementary School in Arden and YMCA Youth Services Center in Asheville)
Time to get outside! Explorer Club is a traditional outdoor adventure day camp. Activities include archery, high and low ropes, gardening, forestry, field trips, and more. Open to rising kindergartners through sixth graders. Learn more here.
Half-Day Camps (Various locations)
Soccer, tennis, basketball, field hockey—even theater—our half-day camps are the perfect place to learn new skills and have fun. Learn more here.
Explorer Camp (Hendersonville)
A full-day traditional outdoor summer camp that includes swimming, sports, arts and crafts, team building, weekly field trips, and activities to help prevent summer learning loss. Camp is held at French Broad Baptist Church, 182 Grandview Lane, Hendersonville. Open to rising kindergartners through sixth graders. Learn more here.
Camp Discovery (Corpening Memorial YMCA)
School-age children will have theme weeks, reading fun, field trips, sports, outdoor learning, hiking, swimming, and more. Lunch is provided. Open to rising kindergartners through fifth graders. Learn more here.
