YMCA Summer Camp is a time of tremendous personal growth...attempting new challenges, building self-esteem, making memories that will last a lifetime!  Each of our camps are designed to meet the unique needs of all our campers.  Come back to our Y-Camps.  We've built upon our strong history and added more exciting field trips, more swimming, more hiking, campouts, cookouts, competitions, and our first trip to our Y's Resident Camp property!  Get ready...we'll be taking a trip to our Swain County camp, splashing on the rivers and hiking the mountains!

CHILD CARE SERVICES YMCA:  SAVE UP TO $50 WHEN YOU REGISTER BY 3/31/12!! - When you register for camp by the end of March, 2012, we will waive your CCS registrations fees ($35CHILD/$50FAMILY). 

YMCA Explorer Camp @ Beaverdam:  Environmental/traditional day camp located on 10 acres at the YMCA Youth Center in North Asheville.  Children will participate in nature, woodworking, teambuilding, camp crafts, archery, ecology, outdoor cooking, camp songs, drama, Native American history, group games, hiking, swimming, field trips, horse riding options, science, rocketry, weekly campouts, a 3day/2night campout option at our new resident camp (ages 8-12), and more.  7AM – 6PM Monday – Friday. Weekly sessions beginning Monday, June 4th – Friday, August 10th.  Ages: Rising 1st-12yrs old.  $155/wk plus one-time CCS registration fee ($35 child/$50 family).  Call 828-210-2273.

YMCA Kiddie Camp @ Beaverdam:  Kiddie Camp is special part of our Explorer Camp for children 4-5 yrs old.  Smaller groups with additional staff, children will participate in a variety of camp activities including nature, camp crafts, ecology, sports, camp songs, dramatic play, swimming, field trips, and more.  Kiddie Campers will also have special story time and a rest/nap time each day.  7AM – 6PM Monday – Friday.  Weekly sessions beginning Monday, June 4th – Friday, August 10th.  $155/wk plus one-time CCS registration fee ($35 child/$50 family).  Call 828-210-2273.

YMCA Discovery Camp @ Buncombe County Schools:  *State Child Care Subsidy Vouchers are accepted at Discovery Camps.* Located throughout Buncombe County at the following schools:  Estes Elementary, Bell Elementary, Hominy Valley Elementary, and Black Mountain Primary.  Camps have weekly summer themes that focus on more field trips, more swimming/watersports, weekly hiking, science/rocketry, camp crafts, camp songs, group games, a 3day/2night campout option at our new resident camp (ages 8-12), summer family nights, and more.  7AM-6PM Monday – Friday.  Weekly sessions beginning Monday, June 4th – Wednesday August 15th.  Ages: 5-12yrs old.  $155/wk plus one-time CCS registration fee ($35 child/$50 family).  Call 828-210-2273.

YMCA Swim Camp:  Children are placed in groups according to skill levels.  Groups will work on intensive skills and drills, Jr. Lifeguard training, proper safety, and participate in daily competitions to introduce and acclimate children to the culture of swim teams.  Splash away your mornings, learn new skills, and compete for your personal best in all areas of swimming.  Must already have swim skills and be comfortable swimming in the water without flotation devices.  $110/wk from 8:30AM-12:30PM plus one-time CCS registration fee ($35 child/$50 family).  Extended camp available at Beaverdam or Bell Elementary School between hours of 7:00AM – 6:00PM (Transportation provided).  $225/wk for Beaverdam/Bell locations PLUS Swim Camp!!  That's a weekly savings of $40!!  Two Sessions: June 11th – 15th, and July 16th – 20^th.  Ages: 8-12yrs. Call 828-210-2273.

CORPENING MEMORIAL YMCA:

YMCA Day Camp:  Rising K to 12th grade. Children will participate in nature hikes, camp songs, group games, arts and crafts, swimming, outdoor exploration, water play, drama and music, sports, field trips and more. Camp Discovery for K-5th grade; Leaders in Training for 6th-8th grade; Counselors In Training for 9th-12th grades. All camps run in 1 week sessions, 6:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday, June 11^th – August 17^th.  $70/$90 (McDowell County only) plus registration fee ($35 child/$50 family).  The first 30 to register and get the registration fee waived!
