7:00 Morning Mayhem (optional): Campers can start the day with a Polar Bear Swim, Fog Jog, and much more!

7:45 Flag Raising

8:00 Breakfast

8:45 Camp Beautification: Each cabin is responsible for cleaning up their cabin and an age-appropriate area on camp.

9:15 Character Development: campers and staff come together to learn about our four core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility through fun stories, skits, and songs.

10:00 Camper's Choice 1: Camper's Choice change every day and consist of all the crazy fun camp has to offer and provides opportunities for campers to personalize their camp experience. Offerings could include:


  • archery

  • waterslide

  • drama

  • nature studies

  • outdoor living skills

  • paddle boarding

  • tie-dye, and more!

11:20 Camper's Choice 2

12:30 Lunch

1:15 F.O.B. (rest period) This quiet time can be used to take a nap, play a game of cards, read a great book, or write a letter home.

2:30 Discovery Treks: Treks provide an opportunity to build skills and progress upward in an activity area. Skill-based activities at YMCA Camp Watia include:

  • archery

  • swimming

  • bouldering

  • canoeing

  • team initiatives

  • land sports

  • nature studies, and much more!

3:45 Free Swim

5:20 Flag Lowering

5:30 Dinner

6:15 Free Time: This supervised free time allows campers to choose from:

  • land sports

  • creating a masterpiece in arts and crafts

  • playing ga-ga

  • just hanging with their awesome new camp friends

7:30 All Camp Activity: Every evening we come together to share in the fun and excitement.

  • Sunday: Capture the Flag and Opening Campfire

  • Monday: Cabin Magic

  • Tuesday: All Camp Activity
    (Examples: Counselor Hunt, Olympics, Carnival)

  • Wednesday: All Camp Activity
    (Examples: Counselor Hunt, Olympics, Carnival)

  • Thursday:All Camp Activity
    (Examples: Counselor Hunt, Olympics, Carnival)

8:45 Evening Snack

9:15 Showers/Vespers/Hang Time (Teen Campers): Cabins finish out their busy day with a good hot shower and discuss their great day at camp during Vespers.

Lights out range from 9:45-11, depending on ages
