Afterschool Programs

Y Afterschool is a safe place for children to play, learn, and grow when out of school. Our qualified and caring staff focus on nurturing the development of each child. We provide a place to have fun, make new friends, and become more active.

Children create lasting memories as they engage in a variety of educational and imaginative activities that encourage them to explore who they are and what they can achieve.

The YMCA of WNC is the largest provider of licensed child care in the state of North Carolina, serving more than 800 children each school day. The YMCA’s school-age child care programs build self-esteem, values, and leadership skills. We offer North Carolina four- and five-star-rated, licensed programs designed for ages 5-12 that are based on the YMCA's four core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
