YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

Great summers start here
Summer day camps at the Y are a great place for kids to connect with the outdoors, make new friends, and have fun. Campers will continue to learn and grow in a safe environment all summer long. Check out our day camp options here.

YMCA Camp Watia is an overnight camp where kids dare, discover, and dream. Campers will build confidence, gain independence, and make friendships while experiencing exciting outdoor adventures. See dates and register here.

Dive into confidence
Be water ready with swim lessons at the Y. Designed for all ages and skill levels, these classes help kids learn water safety techniques and achieve swimming goals in a safe environment. Sign up for our lessons here.

Parents, take time for you
Need a break? Enjoy an evening to yourself with Parents Night Out, a fun, safe, and affordable alternative to babysitting for kids ages 1-12. This program is open to the public and is offered at multiple locations on different dates. Find the option that works best for you here.

MEMBER BONUS: Every quarter, household members and single adult members with dependents receive one free Parents Night Out session per child.

Where teens thrive
Our teen programs and resources are designed to help young people grow, lead, and connect. These programs provide opportunities for teens to develop leadership skills, get involved in their community, and find support for mental health. Learn more here.

Spring into sports
A new season of youth sports starts soon! This spring, we're offering flag football, soccer, and girls volleyball clinics. Kids will learn fundamentals, make new friends, and develop important life skills at the Y. Registration opens Jan. 27.

Whether you’re coming back from an injury, focusing on proper form, or aiming for a new personal best, now is a great time to invest in yourself for real results. Explore personal training options here.

Westridge CrossFit at the Ferguson Family YMCA in Candler offers the region's most affordable and welcoming box for all skill levels. Financial assistance is available, and childcare is available while you work out. Plus, if you sign up for January, you’ll get February free! Learn more here.

Want to get more from your workouts? Try EGYM! This personalized strength training circuit assesses your optimal resistance and adapts to your progress. This amenity is included in Y membership. Schedule your onboarding session at the Hendersonville, Reuter, or Woodfin Ys.

Prevention is possible
Want to lower your risk of type 2 diabetes? The Y offers a research-based Diabetes Prevention Program to help you make lasting healthy lifestyle changes. This free program is available to the public in English and Spanish. For more information, please email us or call here.
