Time to get outside! Explorer Camp is a traditional outdoor adventure day camp in Buncombe County and Henderson County.
At Buncombe County Explorer Camp we aim to give kids the full outdoor summer camp experience and then some. By tapping into the Western North Carolina landscape and embracing the diversity of our campers, we create a safe environment to explore outdoors and discover what campers can achieve.
While developing skills in wilderness, gardening, and adventure recreation, campers grow in self-confidence and strengthen our community. Explorer Campers leave every day with dirt on their hands, a smile on their face, and the spirit of camp in their hearts. Activities include archery, high and low ropes, gardening, forestry, field trips, and more.
